I’m so happy to be back with Discover Massage, LLC! After a long hiatus from massage, I’m finally returning to my passion & hobby! I’ve been licensed for 7 years and worked in various settings, but very pleased to have this as a regular part of my life again, and those of the clients who seek to have it apart of theirs!
I first got into massage because I love the human body, and have an overall fascination with its functions & abilities. Being a hands on learner and having knowledge of Anatomy prior to massage schooling, I felt it a good opportunity to learn a skill that I could be really good at and utilitize for anyone’s benefit. Turns out I am!
Working the front office at The Family Clinic of Fort Collins over the past few years has given me new insight into the medical world. The everyday injuries & the Auto Accident injuries in particular inspired me and helped me realize that I can contribute to the rehabilitation process.
My focus is to have an intentionally productive technique shaped to each individual that comes in. I like to know my clients and to have a personable visit with him/her each time. For whatever reason it may be that brings you in, I look forward to being apart of your healing!
Kathleen is a graduate from a 1000 hour program at the Academy of Natural Therapy in Greeley, CO. Before becoming a massage therapist, Kat graduated with a B.S. in Chemistry from CSU in 2007. Initially wanting to go into research to help make a difference in the lives of people with diseases and challenging health issues, she realized quickly that being in a lab didn’t allow for direct care of patients and moved onto working with people in a variety of settings.
After 10 years of customer service and management Kat decided it was time to combine her love of people and her desire to significantly improve their health. Massage was an obvious answer. Having dealt with stress related neck and shoulder pain herself; Kat appreciates firsthand the opportunity for healing that massage therapy offers. Kat is particularly passionate about and specializes in Neuromuscular, Myofacial Release, Deep tissue, Sports, and Prenatal Massage.
When she’s not at work she loves to read fiction, take her dogs to the park and practice her cooking skills.
